There is far too much to say about Ophelia.

When I was younger and developing who I was as an actor, more of me lived in her than I realized.

She is a smart, kind, and truly beautiful young woman.

She is devastating, because she always knew exactly what she wanted and who she was.

She is alive nearly everywhere I look, now that I know how to look for her.

She has always lived in me, and now I like to think I live in her, too.

When I was auditioning for this role, I wish I could say that I didn't care too much and that I never would have guessed that I would be the one to bring her to life.

But that would be a lie.

She and I have always been destined.

I loved Ophelia, and I will continue to do so for as long as I live.

Farewell, my dove.

I’m very excited to announce that I’ll have my first EP coming out in 2027! @the_eh_eh_ron and Kai helped me record 7 instrumental songs that I wrote over the course of the past few years.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 3 weeks since we closed SHAKESPEARE DICE: AS YOU LIKE IT at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival @edfringe !!

Expect plenty more reminiscences, but for now, enjoy some of our fave moments at our incredible venue @venue13fringe. Thanks for making our Fringe debut so special, and letting us install a full-on immersive cowboy karaoke bar in the space!

okay so i wanted to share something with the rest of you. I used to post more about what was on my mind and make posts with rants or things I thought at the time as if it was eternal for me. Nothing in my life has been. Not my religion. Not my community. Not my sexuality. Not my overall perspective and outlook on life has been a straight line with a definitive truth. There is something about social media that feels like i need to announce something to the world, whether it’s a relationship or a political stance (fuck maga and fuck ice, unashamedly until the end of time however not what I’m talking about rn), or I need to declare to the world something that “I am”. The truth is 10 years ago I was a Christian evangelical missionary and last week I was a part of a preforming arts production company headed by my queer best friend that preformed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. It was me who chose to evangelize to kids in India, it was me who chose to follow my doubt that led me to have shame about evangelizing to kids in India, and it was me who saw improv in Scotland, and unfortunately the same me who is writing this out after I told myself that i wouldn’t post words that I wasn’t 100% sure I’d agree with in 10 years. Shame, embarrassment, the cruel critic of a moon in Virgo will have me believe that I am unworthy of expression. However, the “I am” statements are bubbling up and they want to say that I am adaptable, I am changeable, I am still bending my mind and questioning the world I see. One more thing, i never thought that i could travel again and feel it be purposeful and transformative but as life has proved to me, there is no one way to a meaningful existence.

Second to last show, and last day the full team is here.

I came up with 3…2..1 as a concept about 8 years ago. I pitched it to several theaters, but it was never the right time. In 2024, @seattleopenartsplace hosted the first 3…2..1.

Funny thing though, I almost cancelled the show. I was exhausted from my first ever edinburgh fringe and figured I needed more time. I did it anyway, and 3…2..1 was contracted to produce monthly at S.O.A.P.

For most of the past two years, I was a one person team. Once a quarter, @janaewalla and @tyrarose_danceandart would graciously step in as host, but this was otherwise an investment to get 3…2..1 to a point of international impact.

The people in this photo have made this next step in 3…2..1’s journey possible. Friends for years and now The SaltShake Team, I cannot describe how much joy I feel when I now hear, “Our Show.”

A little about the team✨

Michael Pollack is my life long friend since kindergarten. Over the past two weeks he’s shone light on countless artist’s works. He offers the kindest pep talks, punchiest punch lines, and makes sure we’re all taken care of. Today we get to see him take the stage as a performer for the first time since middle school.

Gabby Marston is my dear friend of 5 years. With every step of the process, a new talent of hers was unveiled. Her eye for details has held SaltShake’s values accountable in practice and also made our T Shirts aesthetically pleasing. Her simple “could i make some buttons to hand out?” revealed quirky beautiful doodles that have convinced folks to come to our show. She has offered so much love, fun, and passion to this process.

Tyra Rose started our connection 7 years ago as colleagues. 3 years ago I danced for Tyra in a work that was the first seed of the full length she produced this year. Knowing her story and watching from the audience, I can confidently say it was the best dance works i’ve seen in recent history. Her talent is undeniable, her laugh is contagious. She’s a prime example of alchemy through the arts.
