Amsterdam through my eyes📸🇳🇱

I’m often frustrated with life because I can’t dance all the time but I should be grateful that I even get to travel to dance! These people filled my heart so much that I can feel it in my body and we only spent 2 days together😭

Thanks @allclearcollective for letting me and @janmichaelll be in your very very cozy and cute and safe space as outsiders and I know how much time, energy and emotions are poured into building this so I don’t take it for granted🫂 Can’t wait to see you guys already🥹

Thank you to all the beautiful people who made Flowerz theatre night last Saturday special 🌸❤️

To all creators and dancers who showcased their performance pieces and left the crowd speechless.

To our partners @gemeentetilburg, @factoriumcultuurmakers, & @tilburgdanceplatform who made this night possible.

To the media team @elatedframes, @plaatjesvanindia, & @momentsbyvida for memories to look back at.

And lastly, to the crowd who came to support and witness street&club styles in a theatre setting.

See you next year for our 4th edition!

Announcing the fourth performance piece ‘Mag ik bij jou’ by @mmickado which will be performed on Flowerz theatre night, 9 May at @factoriumcultuurmakers 🌸

Mickado Codrington is a self-taught performer, choreographer and budding theatre maker. She’s a hiphop-based dancer, and have also explored different movement languages such as African street styles and some contemporary.

In 2025 she got the opportunity to join a residency program and work as an in-house maker at foundation Nowhere in Amsterdam. She has been researching her movement signature and developed her first performance called ‘Wie ik ben (bij jou)’, about relational identity. For this next piece, she’s still diving into that subject, but from a different angle.

Performed by Mickado and @gibsberger

Don’t miss out on watching it live and secure your tickets in the link in our bio! 🎫

MAKER IN HUIS FESTIVAL 2025

🧡 CRIATURA.

It didn’t end that night
It settled in the body
braided through the wild knowing within us
the thread of women’s knowing woven through time and shared presence
Soft, untamed, awake
something ancient stirring beneath the skin
Shaped in sharing, feeling, and healing together
Held by a deeply warm team
It stays with me

Beautiful pictures by the beautiful @sam33256
Soon more.
