POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

3 years ago today I snagged my ticket for the NYC Premiere of "HELL HOUSE LLC ORIGINS: THE CARMICHAEL MANOR".
I remember going to the IFC Center's box office every single day for 2 weeks because it was originally sold out. But, because of demand, they moved it to a bigger theater and released more tickets.
And yes, I still have the physical ticket.
🤡😁

Year 3 is officially in the books 🫶

We were inspired by everyone who showed up and made this weekend feel so special.

Thank you to the filmmakers for trusting us with your work and for traveling from near and far to be a part of the festival weekend.

We are very grateful to the teams at @cornellcinema and @thecinemapolis for hosting our screenings, and to our friends at @bike_bar_ithaca and @argoswarehouse for giving us space to celebrate together. To our jurors, moderators, filmmakers, volunteers, and the whole ITHEX community, we truly couldn’t do this without you!

Hell House LLC Lineage - ⭐️⭐️3/4 - This feels like a film caught between wanting to honour what came before and wanting to evolve, and unfortunately it never fully succeeds at either. While there are solid ideas at play and the performances across the board are committed and believable, the movie largely abandons the found footage eeriness and raw, unsettling atmosphere that made the original films so effective. In shifting toward a more traditional horror style, it loses much of the tension, ambiguity, and creeping dread that defined the franchise at its best. There are moments that work, a few effective scares, some intriguing lore expansion, and a general sense that the cast is doing the most with the material, but the overall experience feels surprisingly muted. Compared to its predecessors, this is a far more conventional and less memorable entry, one that feels underwhelming given the strength of the series it comes from. A watchable sequel with flashes of promise, but a noticeable step down from the haunting magic that once made Hell House stand out.

Two years ago this week we shot CASINO! and I finally can say the film is almost finished. Shooting this was the most incredible experience I love my cast and crew and everyone who helped out can’t wait for this thing to be in the world!!
