👋🏾 Hey everyone!

I’m @kushtatts_ , a tattoo artist with 16 years of experience, and I’m launching the Toronto Therapeutic Tattoo Club—a safe space where art, mental health advocacy, and community healing come together.

Tattoos have the power to tell stories, reclaim agency, and support healing from trauma, discrimination, and mental health challenges. I’m looking to collaborate with mental health professionals, community leaders, and artists who want to help create meaningful experiences for those in need.

As the holiday season approaches, we’re reflecting on an incredible year of growth, connections, and meaningful impact. Thank you to our partners, funders, participants, alumni, and the broader community for trusting us and supporting this purpose-driven journey.

This year, we celebrated the success of Project TakeOff, empowering personal and professional growth, and soft launched digital badge certificates to recognize participants’ achievements. We also co-designed Beyond The High, a training program focused on substance use education and Naloxone overdose response, working with one of our Alumni to expand our impact with community workers.

From our mental health and wellness workshops that incorporate the arts to MHFA training and low-cost therapy sessions, we’ve focused on creating spaces for growth, healing, and transformation. We also launched the Open Minds, Strong Connections campaign, which celebrated our partners' contributions to community wellness and their efforts to break the stigma around mental health.

As we step into 2025, we’re excited to share new offerings. Stay tuned for updates.

Spotlight on Giggles! 🎨✨ As part of our "Open Minds, Strong Connections" campaign, we’re shifting focus to the power of creativity in supporting wellness. Giggles, a tattoo and pencil artist, uses their art to tell stories of resilience, joy, and healing. For both the artist and those who embrace creative outlets, art serves as a powerful tool to process emotions, share personal journeys, and foster connection.

Creativity is a key dimension of wellness—helping us express what words can’t, reducing stress, and breaking down mental health stigmas. Whether through tattoos or sketches, the arts can be a path toward healing and self-discovery. 🌟
