A little late to the party, but here’s my TIFF51 post! I didn’t forget about it, I promise!

For those who know me, TIFF is basically Christmas to me haha. It’s easily my favourite time of the year, and this year was no exception!

Unfortunately, I only managed to see 12 films this year (which is honestly pretty LOW by my standards haha), but this was easily my most productive TIFF yet!

With the launch of the TIFF Market, I had the most meetings I’ve ever had in my filmmaking career. Between pitching projects, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting so many new people, it was a pretty crazy 10 days!

I think this was also the first time I genuinely felt like I was attending TIFF more as a filmmaker than a cinephile, which is a pretty surreal feeling considering I’ve been coming to this festival for years just to watch as many movies as humanly possible haha.

Of course, I’ll always be a cinephile at heart, but it’s pretty exciting to see how much things have changed and how far I’ve come!

Also, apologies for the slightly scrappy and all-over-the-place photo dump this year haha. I was so caught up in everything that I honestly wasn’t the best at taking photos, but here’s what I managed to piece together!

Huge thank you to everyone I got to meet and reconnect with this year! Already counting down the days until TIFF52! ❤️

One of my favourite things about creating is getting to step into someone else’s vision for a moment and figuring out how to translate it through my own lens.

It was such a pleasure to finally get to watch Les Enfants De La Nouvelle France on Bell Fibre 1. We filmed it in Ottawa over a year ago and seeing it on screen was a special moment for me as it was my first acting job in Canada since moving here from the UK last year. Playing Murphy was not only great fun but also playing against type and I am so grateful to have been given that opportunity. The performances by @imbenmasters and @officialdarioroberto in particular are brilliant, hard hitting and touching. The direction by @christian_guerin07 and the cinematography by @averywiltondop are beautifully done and the animation by @_.tompeters really adds something special to the piece. Congrats to all involved at @themonkeybuziness for doing such a great job. @gigi_packer

Thanks as always to my agent @amticom for the opportunity and support.
