Those long hours before the show. They fill up with anxiety and get even longer. There's always joking but, as the second side of the coin, there is, well, the other side as well - and it can be tiring...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@_al_hug, Len Sander's wizzzard of all things - prior to a show at Montreux Jazz Festival. Taken at a time when there wasn't a virus shutting down shows and putting artists out of a job.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did I mention Len Sander is on Spotify? Yes? Doesn't matter. I'll do it again. go have a listen!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes the waiting is long and the artist's changing room fairly small. Or maybe it's actually not THAT small but the band rolls up with a ton of members and technicians and photographers and whatnot. However, the wait was still long. This is Len Sander, a few hours before a gig at Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Have you heard their song Woman on the Run? It's on Spotify - you can dance to it. It's not like you have anything more important to do while you're in your home-office, right? Might as well support an artist⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes you wait outside. Swiss band Here Hare Here killing time between soundcheck and makeup before their show at Montreux Jazz Festival in, well, Montreux.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No funny story here - just a lovely evening in summer (before a thunderstorm rolled in just before the show began - smoke on the water of sorts). Still, go check their Spotify. They have a very, uhm, rough way of staying classy⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Nothing beats hugs before a show.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Swiss band Am Kap going in for a hug with their light technician @le_r_lerene right before a show at Dampfzentrale in Berne, Switzerland.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The story behind this: René, who isn't only a wizard with his lights is also the kind of guy who prefers to hand out hugs instead of cold handshakes. As I shoot for his agency we work a lot of gigs together - pre- and post-gig hugs have become a solemn ritual. You know, the kind that cannot be broken, or something terrible would happen.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Something terrible - like the current crisis putting artists out of their income. Why not lighten your quarantine while helping them out by switching on your Spotify and have a private living-room-rave to Am Kap? It sure beats fattening up on all those snacks⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
