Last week was @gil_werta last week at Hillel at Stanford! Gil, thank you for bringing so much energy, heart, and joy to our community. From taking 2 groups of students to Israel and over 80 students to the Nova Exhibition to leading classes, memorials, and countless chats at coupa, you’ve helped so many of us learn, grow, and connect.

Thank you for every laugh, every dance break, and every moment that made Hillel feel like home. We’re excited to see what you do next! 💙

The Great Debaters is a concept I’d been developing for months. We don’t have too many prolific Jewish Advocates who have mastered the art of debate in both Legacy and Digital Media, so it was the honor of a lifetime to bring these 4 generationally-defining debaters together for a never before seen collaboration and conversation. Thank you @shabboskest @thedebralea @itstalia___ and @abrahamhamra for supporting @malka_productions , and giving our community the much needed insight and tools they need to be better advocates for Israel, and the Jewish people. 🪬

Had the best start to the week full of learning, sunshine, laughs, animal snuggles, and reunions in Simi Valley with my @sfhillel team and the West Coast Hillel Teams!

We are officially refreshed and ready for the amazing semester to begin!

An emotional week that culminated in hope for a better future for the Jewish people🤍
I couldn’t be more grateful to have spent a day educating and learning about Israel with Northern California university students at the @israelinsf Israel Summit. We heard from experts like @theamyalbertson and @matthewnouriel, and I led two workshops on discussing Zionist perspectives. Then, I had the honor of speaking at the San Francisco candlelight vigil in memory of the Bibas and Lifschitz families at the @sfbayrussianspeakingjews center alongside the Israeli consul general and representatives from the San Francisco Jewish community.
This week was tough, but we are tougher. Am Israel Chai. 💙🤍
