Merry Christmas to all our family and friends in the UK, South Africa, and wherever you are in the world. 🎄

These photos are a little walk down memory lane — snapshots of our sweet babies growing up over the years, reminding us how quickly time flies and how grateful we are for the love that surrounds them.

Sending lots of love from us to you, today and always.

London is full of magic. Even though we live so nearby we definitely don’t visit enough. Yesterday was the perfect day out in London.

What’s your favourite thing to do in London?

"Do you miss South Africa" they ask.

How can I explain that the light of the African sun is always in my dreams.
That the bird song in the wide open sky is the lullaby that soothes my soul.
That the longing for that complicated beautiful country is always under my skin.
That my heart beats with an African drum.

"sometimes" I reply, with a small smile.

Thanks to everyone we managed to see for making our visit so special. See you next year.

Fun at the farm @flag_animal_farm just outside Salt Rock, KZN, South Africa.

Not just an ordinary farm, @flag_animal_farm has rescued over 12000 animals! The animals roam free and are cared for beautifully.

My little Sleep-Thieves held a baby snake (that had wandered/slithered into the restaurant area), heard wolves howl, petted an iguana, cuddled piglets, fed goats, rode a pony, milked a cow and had an all-round fabulous time!

What a place!

Young-Toddler Valentine’s craft:

Here’s a cute and simple idea to do with your young toddler, to create a card or gift bag for that special someone (in Ariella’s case, Daddy 💖💙)

All you need is:
💗 a white wax crayon
💗a paper plate
💗water colour paint or food colouring

She loved it!

This is my entry for @thesurreyscene e Valentine’s photo challenge ‘hand made with love’ prompt.

Hit the heart if you like it! ❤️

It’s been a long and lonely three years! But Granny and Pa Pete have made it over to visit from South Africa.

There is so much excitement!

Happy weekend!
