Today’s the day!

Every vote matters. Let’s make sure people remember that.

Join Lucinda’s, the Badass Women of Wichita Alliance, and the @lwvkansas League of Women Voters for a community postcard-writing party encouraging voters to participate in the upcoming election. We’ll write handwritten reminders to people who haven’t voted in recent elections, helping more voters be informed, engaged, and ready to make their voices heard.

We’re gathering at Lucinda’s, 329 N. Mead Street in Old Town Square, and space is very limited. We’ll meet in two shifts, at 4 PM and 5 PM, so advance registration is required.

RESERVE YOUR SPACE HERE! https://bit.ly/PostcardVoterParty

There is no charge to attend! If you’d like to help cover the cost of postcards and postage, you can make a donation when you register—choose whatever amount you’d like, including $0.

Can’t join us but still want to help? You can also contribute toward mailing costs at Venmo. (https://venmo.com/Lucindas-Wichita)

Any funds remaining after mailing costs will be donated to the League of Women Voters of Wichita Metro.

Since people were asking, these are the zines I was handing out at PaliFest, and apologies for not bringing enough copies of any of them - but it sure was awesome to see them quickly disappear and be appreciated!

Most are Palestine-related and can be found online for free to print and share. If you have any issues finding them, let me know. There are so many wonderful ones out there, and I was focused on more recent zines that covered a variety of viewpoints.

If you’re a Wichita local and would like a copy of any of these, please reach out.

Poems from and for Palestine and Lebanon (Oct 2024)
(collection of 24 poems plus resources for further reading about Gaza)

Palestine: An introduction
(zine version of the information at decolonizepalestine.com giving an overview of Palestine from ancient times to today)

May Day 2025 Solidarity with the Workers and Students of Palestine
(collection of essays from global groups)

Palestinian Plants of Resistance
(a visual guide to native plants)

A Flower Blooms for Palestine - Abolish Prisons Everywhere - Stop Cop City, by Abaddon James (Nov 2023)
(covering the related liberation efforts of Palestine and the southern US)

Queer Voices from the Fight for Palestinian Liberation (Nov 2023)
(queer perspectives on Gaza, pinkwashing, and further reading)

Also, some non-Palestine related zines:

A Guide for Book Lovers and Coffee Drinkers in Wichita, KS
(guide to libraries, bookstores, and coffee shops in our city by @gilmoremaggie )

Books Through Bars - a how-to guide for the wichita area and beyond
(my zine for locals on donating books to jails and prisons)

It may be the last day of Pride but for us, it’s every day.

We don’t talk about this enough, mostly because we’re too busy doing the work. So here’s a quick highlight of what we’ve been proud to do as an LGBTQ+, Asian and Black-owned, and collectively-owned business right here in Wichita:

• Supported artists, musicians, mutual aid groups, LGBTQ events, and community-led projects.

• Offered accessible pricing and even donated work for causes we believe in.

• Collaborated on one-of-a-kind, custom artwork and merchandise: stickers, shirts, hats, and more!

We know it's nothing crazy and we don’t do this for recognition or likes. We do it because this is our community. And especially during Pride, it feels important to say:
We’re here. We’ve been here. And we’ll keep showing up — all year long.

If you’re looking to collaborate with people who lead with values, hit us up. ✌️

Thank you to everyone that we got to collaborate with this month for Pride in Wichita!

Solidarity always. Happy Pride forever. 🏳️‍🌈

10 years of love. One decade of life together. Words cannot describe the feelings that we have for Maggie and Mariah. ETGG would not be what it is without them and we would not be the people we are if not for the lucky serendipity of our paths crossing in that exact moment in the vastness of the ephemeral illusion in which we all reside. Maggie is our MacGyver of art and go-to fixer for any and all issues and Mariah is steady hand on the rudder whose consistency is balanced by snark and unbridled enthusiasm for media. I cannot imagine our lives without these two amazing human beings and I never want to! If you see either of these golden beings of light somewhere in your proximity, just bask for a moment and reflect on the fact that we live in a world filled with beauty, kindness and love embodied in the family that we choose for ourselves!
