SIDE BY SIDE: New York City. 2/20/26.

A traveling zine project showcasing friends of Living Proof, city by city. This first New York City edition documents a group of friends emerging from New York City who first connected through Tompkins Square Park as a meeting ground. The group represents a cross-section of the city’s next generation of emerging talent within skateboarding, photography, graffiti writing, art, and clothing design.

The publication captures the clothing they wear and offers an in-depth look into their daily lives, processes, ambitions, and philosophies. Through portraits, interviews, and candid documentation, it presents a snapshot of a self-defined crew shaping contemporary New York. The zine consists of hand-written interviews and self-styled portraits with clothing the individuals wear on a daily basis.

The individuals involved are closely associated to Star Team East Village and Homies Network; two brands that have become definitive of New York City today.

A zine release party will be held this Friday in New York. Details tomorrow.
