@ny_open_studios on again this weekend 10am - 5pm. Here is the brochure and map showing some of the lovely studios you can visit near me.
Don't worry if you can't make it to all the Studios this weekend - many artists (including myself) are happy to open by appointment.

Two weeks today and I'll be waiting in anticipation of you lovely lot coming to visit hopefully! But before then, I'm off on a little holiday to the Northumberland coast for a bit of a rest. I've cheated a bit with my 100 day challenge and have pre-recorded the last week (bending the rules but hopefully no-one will mind) otherwise the paintings wont have been dry enough to frame before the opening weekend 1st & 2nd June.

If you are planning to visit, there is a little cluster of fabulous artists in the Ripon area. You'll find me at Venue 81 at Newby Hall Stables; Gina Bean (semi abstract mixed media landscapes) at Lower Dunsforth, Venue 80; Kate Moores (expressive figurative artist) at West Tanfield, Venue 83; Jo Garlick (natural world inspired pastels) at Thirn, Venue 89; Liz Harvey (oil and mixed media abstracted landscapes) at Grewelthorpe, Venue 82 and Fiona Land (portrait artist) at Jervaulx, Venue 88.

So much to see! We do hope you'll drop in over the first two weekends in June (1/2 & 8/9). Just look for the orange Open Studios signs to guide you in.

We are delighted to announce for the first time NYOS artists will hold a Winter Open Studios. The information of all artists taking part on the 2nd and 3rd December 10-5pm from their studios across North Yorkshire is online, nyos.org.uk. Join our mailing list for up to date information straight into your email inbox . You can also refer to our brochure from the summer ,if you still have one. Artists taking part have a snowflake next to their information. But do double check on our website details as a couple of artists circumstances have changed since publication.

Lots of new work will be available to view, as well as a chance to talk to artists about their process and maybe think about booking a course in 2024 with artists that hold workshops. Lots of new research shows how good it is for for our health to engage in the arts, by viewing or doing . As an organisation we are proud to be able to extend the opportunities for you to see the range of exciting artists in our region within their working environment .

This landscape painting Country Lane is by @ginabean.art, she will be opening her studio in Lower Dunsforth, in our Central region.
