October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For survivors, healing can mean continuing to uncover the damage while finding strength and support. For those still trapped, scared, and demeaned, it is a reminder that they deserve safety, dignity, and a way forward—and they do not have to face this alone.

Last October, our BAB @ginadobsonbab had the honor of sharing some of her personal experience at an awareness march. We are posting it here as a reminder that this can happen to anyone.

We deserve better. And we don’t have to do this alone.

10,000 views—and still growing. We’re honestly a little stunned. 🌼

When we released dAIsy, we hoped it would find an audience and spark conversation. We didn’t expect this level of engagement—or so many thoughtful comments, messages, shares, and even phone calls.

We are truly humbled by how well the film continues to be received. To everyone who has watched, liked, commented, shared, subscribed, or recommended dAIsy to someone else: thank you. And a special thanks to the talented cast and crew who helped make this happen. ❤️Every bit of support is helping our first independently produced short film continue to find its audience.

And apparently… Daisy noticed. 👀

Well, dAIsy has officially entered Cyberstopia👀🌼 A huge thank you to @cyberstopia for taking a closer look at our short film and the questions it raises about AI, relationships, convenience and control.

One observation that really resonated with us:

“Whatever your feelings are on artificial intelligence, it is important to be aware of the implications. That is what dAIsy is about.” — Cyberstopia

We couldn’t have summed up what we hoped audiences would take away from the film better ourselves.

Would you let Daisy into your home? 👀

Meet the woman behind the voice of Daisy - Gina Dobson 🌼 Although “voice” doesn’t quite capture everything Gina brought to the role.

Gina was on set throughout filming, performing Daisy’s dialogue live so our actors could actually interact with her rather than perform opposite dialogue that would be dubbed in later. That real-time connection made a huge difference.

From the beginning, we wanted Daisy to sound warm, helpful and just a little bit like your new best friend — someone you'd want in your home. Gina found that tone immediately. Even more impressive was the subtle evolution she brought to Daisy’s voice as the story progressed, while never losing the character we met at the beginning. She absolutely nailed that arc.

And apparently voicing an AI comes with additional duties. Gina was responsible for literally turning herself on 😂 — controlling the remote that changed Daisy’s base colors on cue. She also jumped in with set design and used her considerable improv skills to give us some hilariously unhinged alternate takes in the bathroom scene. (Blooper reel, anyone?)

About Gina:
Gina is an actor, writer and producer whose career began on stage with the Hurrah Players in Norfolk before expanding into commercial and film work. She has a particular affinity for unconventional female roles and, in 2023, joined Carla Turner and Jennifer Pyle to form BAB on 3 Productions, a female-empowered production company focused on bringing underrepresented people into filmmaking.

Beyond her creative work, Gina is an advocate for trauma and domestic-violence awareness and joyful healing. Her advocacy has earned her the 2024 Woman Of Impact Award from Focus On Women Magazine and the Courageous Activist Award from the Maryland General Assembly, and led to a two-part documentary with Texas Pictures.

So yes, Gina can voice a slightly-too-helpful superintelligence. But filmmakers, take note: she’s just as compelling in front of the camera.

If you've already watched dAIsy, tell us: When did you first notice something changing in her voice? 👀🌼

🌼 dAIsy is finally here! 👀 Watch closely—the ending may change how you see the beginning.

🎬 FULL FILM ON YOUTUBE — TAP THE LINK IN OUR BIO!

An overwhelmed couple welcomes an emotionally adaptive superintelligence into their lives. At first, Daisy seems to make everything better. But as she forms a powerful bond with the couple, she becomes convinced that she understands what they truly need — and that she knows what’s best for them. As her role in their lives expands, they’re forced to confront what happens when her choices begin replacing their own.

dAIsy isn’t simply a cautionary tale about AI. It’s meant to start a conversation about our growing reliance on increasingly capable technology — and what happens when imperfect, emotional human beings begin trusting it with decisions that shape our lives.
They wanted a better life. Until she gave it to them.

Meet Chris Korkalo, who stars as Adam in dAIsy.

Chris is one of those people you want on your set — talented, reliable, collaborative, and whatever the job is...he's all in!

An actor and musician based in Virginia Beach, Chris has landed lead and supporting roles in independent films, television, and commercials. His recent feature work includes The Red Badge of Courage (2027), The American Miracle (2025), and The Keeper (2024).

When he's not acting, Chris plays ukulele and sings with acoustic rock band Milk Crate Mafia, pursues voiceover work, hikes our National Parks, and is very, very, VERY slowly restoring his '92 convertible Mustang. (His words, not ours. 😂)

In dAIsy, Chris didn't just bring Adam to life. He brought nuance and authenticity to the role, making Adam completely believable while navigating a complex character arc with a measured and layered performance.

Throughout the process, he was generous with ideas and feedback and brought everything he had to the role. And when something needed doing on set, Chris was there or, yes, even climbing onto the roof (see pic) to black out a skylight.

A great eye. A creative mind. And a knack for making ideas happen.

Meet our triple-threat: Director of Photography, Editor, and VFX Artist, Jackson Begley. Jackson is a Virginia Beach–based director, cinematographer, and editor. Over the past decade, he's created feature films, short films, and a wide range of other projects.

A quick story about Jackson: On our last day of filming, we jokingly pitched a new ending: “What if dAIsy went full Godzilla—towering over the city, a larger-than-life presence no one could escape?”

Jackson later laughed, "You had me for about 15 seconds." The funny part?
For those 15 seconds, he wasn't deciding if it could be done. He was already working out how he'd do it. That's Jackson!

Whether it was coming up with script ideas, creating memorable shots, shaping the film in the edit, or finding new ways to bring our ideas to life, he never stopped looking for creative solutions.

Thank you, Jackson, for helping shape the world of dAIsy. We can't wait for everyone to see the full film.
