I hope everyone had a happy holiday! 💚❤️🎄 I took a mini break from IG...and WW... 👀😬😄 but now I’m back online and back on track!

Here are some pics from our Christmas Day. The night before, we donned our Christmas jammies & watched A Year Without Santa, which sounded good to my son who’s still afraid of the guy 😆 We left treats out for Santa & Rudolph, then had fun in the morning watching our son & dog discover the gifts Santa had left for them. This was the 1st year my son really seemed to take in what was going on, so it was really sweet watching him figure out there was also stuff in his stocking, how to unwrap his own gifts, etc.

After a sugary breakfast, we headed over to my parents’ house. They set up Christmas in the backyard, complete with a tree for the presents to be under. We had a prime rib & ham feast and spent a socially distanced time together until it got too cold out and we headed home.

A different kind of Christmas holiday, but we made the most of it and my son had a blast. 🥰❤️💚🎄🎅🏼🎁

Today, my son & I had a fun day at the zoo with my sister 🐘 🦛 🦒 🐒 It was especially cool when we heard the voice of “Ruby” from “Blackish” coming from a group of other zoo visitors at the exhibit next to us. We recognized that voice immediately! Even though we couldn’t see her whole face because of her mask, we knew it was the actress Jenifer Lewis. But we didn’t ask for a picture since, ya know, Covid, but also she was busy with her family. Still, it was a pretty LA moment at the LA Zoo 😆

Afterwards, we had a yummy lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. I chose the soup + salad lunch combo. The pea & barley soup had the lowest SP value out of all the soups on the menu so I had that. It was pretty tasty!

Soup : 4 SP
Caesar salad : 6 SP
Chicken breast : 5 SP

We spent the afternoon today hanging out in my parents’ backyard with my parents & siblings. We snacked on tortilla chips with my sister’s homemade mango avocado salsa (lol you can see which part of the salsa I like best 😂) and then had lunch from El Pollo Loco. My son ran around, played peek a boo with his grandpa who hid in a box 😂 and basically tired himself right out. He fell asleep on the drive home so now Mama is sitting in the car with him — AC on, radio off — while he sleeps, since the last time this happened, he didn’t transition well from the car to the crib. Mama Life. ☺️

Chips & salsa (& second helping not pictured) : 7 SP

Double chicken avocado salad with light cilantro dressing : 10 SP

Family movie night was a success! We watched “Cars” and my son was amazed his favorite movie was so close 😄 In addition to my little concessions box, my sister added nachos & freshly popped popcorn 🍿My brother’s girlfriend also added mojitos to the mix. 🍸 Fun times! 🎥 🌙 🌟 ...except now I’m over my weeklies & I gotta get my activity points on 😒😄

Mojito : 8 SP
Nachos : 10 SP
Pirate’s Booty : 2 SP
Kettle Corn : 5 SP
Reese’s Pieces : 4 SP

The other puffs were my son’s cheese crunchies, which I didn’t eat, so not included in my count 😂
