Going back to 2019 My Brother David, and family Lucy out in a cold and crisp fall morning filling the truck with the abundance that would go to community. It is a gift to serve the community that we live in and here we are today still doing it. #glenhansard #DurhamEats #Zerowaste #foodforpeople #Earthfirst #baggingit

This is a throwback of some of my experiences as youth 21 bright-eyed just out of school and realizing my dream which was boats and in that dream of boats I got to work first hand for 3 months as a deckhand, night watch, and galley,on the Calypso, an ocean research boat I believe it was then that my activism for this planet started. @cousteau.society I started my activism in 1985 on the ocean research boat the Calypso, learned to build boats after and built small cabins reclaimed wood in Maine. I worked as a volunteer at the BWS where I rescued abused women from terrible violence. I have raised communities of children, most my adult life. I volunteered work with mayors council for women in Burlington with then mayor Bernie Sanders. My work has been recognised from the Carter center, I never owned a brand new car, computer, or phone. I live a meager and abundant life with food recovery, and community everywhere I go! I serve with love and for the earth! My life has lived an example of rise up each day and think of other nature animals humans plants and air! Water and land we are all connected.

The ocean is my sacred place to lay my weary head and know that all emotions flow and ebb. Like a breath of renewal and a spirit of healing. Blessings and peace from Wrightsville Beach. XO

In the days that we are living we have to find Joy somewhere and this is our third year to be invited back in partnership with the Montessori School of Durham to not only celebrate the life and the Eternal of Martin Luther King Jr but to stand up for one another and do that which is kind and just just one thing.
