One of the best gifts I have received in life is my mom.

At 4’ 11”, under 100 lbs, my mom is a small, quiet force that never quits nor demands. She is loving in the way that Asian moms love, with food and acts of service.

My mom is light-hearted, playful and loves to laugh. She is an incredible Pau Pau to the girls and her 15 grandchildren.

My mom made it possible me when I needed to go back to work when Esmé was only 6 month old. She also supported my 20 year birth doula career. When I was on-call for a birth, my mom was on-call for the girls and I am forever thankful for those years. I never could have done it without her. 💛

Feisty as ever, always up for an adventure and still up for travelling! We’re all very excited to travel to China and Hong Kong with my mom and dad this summer!

🌸Happy Mother’s Day Mom! We love you!!!🌸

Allie is building experimental cameras. She thinks about cameras as objects or tools or materials that she could change.

"The images taken on my cameras create a distortion of reality, so blurry that what we see becomes hazy. I'll tell you right now, they're photos of my studio because the process is secretly important, but I like to say it's only about the images. If you squint, the whole thing might look like a film strip, artificially made. If you don't squint, the photos might just look a little blurry. Are any of these images beautiful? Or are they just bad?"

If Allie were an object, Allie would be a moon jellyfish.

Come see our Senior Thesis show from May 7-18! Join us for the closing reception on Saturday, May 17, from 5-8 PM.
