Last day at @lamaisondebeaumont
We created our own lovely show for locals to come. But truly, I was so taken by the body of work we all created. Ginny, Jules, Larry, Dave, Chris, Natasha, Judy, Rick, Elaine, Michelle, Nora, and Perry. You were all a dream and deeply inspiring. Thank you for being such an amazing cohort. France, you are a strange and beautiful place.
Until we all meet again.

Seven artists. Seven unique voices. One beautiful creative journey in Provence. 🎨✨

At La Maison de Beaumont, the residency is as much about creating as it is about connecting. Sharing ideas, meals, conversations, laughter—and forming bonds that often last far beyond the residency. 🌿

This is the magic of bringing artists together. ❤️

The Christopher Art Gallery is pleased to present The Shape of Color, an invitational exhibition featuring the extraordinary work of Rubén Aguirre, Gretchen Jankowski, Ann Blaas, Ginny Krueger, and James Bowden.
These artists employ a wide variety of artistic strategies and materials. Some utilize unconventional materials such as spray paint and PVC surfaces as canvases, while others incorporate traditional media in innovative and exciting ways, including encaustic and oil painting techniques. What unifies their work is a bold and dynamic use of color. True to modern sensibilities, color itself becomes the primary subject expressed through striking forms, expressive brushwork, and energetic processes.
A public reception is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. Please join us as we celebrate the work of these outstanding artists.
The exhibition opens tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26, and continues through July 2, 2026.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Join us for Opening Night of Thirst Trap!
Curated by yours truly
Friday November 15th / 7 - 10pm
4th Floor Gallery
Bridgeport Art Center
1200 W. 35th Street Chicago
Exhibition Open Nov 15 - Jan 3 2025

Thirst Trap is our collective deep dive into these questions:
What is the difference between a thirst trap and a visual oasis? Can attention seeking be transformative, ie: attention absorbing? How can the thirst trap reclaim power/reverse the objectifying gaze? Are we empowered to renegotiate the image of desire? What systems are in place that generate thirst? To what degree do we reveal our thirst? Can we impose our will on the collective media mind? What do we gain when we gain likes? What makes us thirstiest? This group of artists employ their artistic prowess to lean into these questions. In a pluralistic, media saturated, thirsty world we begin to make moves, choices and meaning.

Exhibiting Artists
Anthony Adcock, Lauren Beck, Phyllis Bramson, Holly Cahill, Mia Capodilupo, Autumn Elizabeth Clark, Hannah Givler, Maymay Jumsai, Stacee Kalmanovsky, Millicent Kennedy, Ginny Kreuger, David Nasca, Josue Pellot, Marci Rubin, Susan Sensemann, Paul Gerard Somers, Alina Tenser, Olivia Zubko
