Thanos is a central villain in Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a powerful Titan obsessed with bringing balance to the universe. Driven by the belief that overpopulation will inevitably lead to universal ruin, he embarks on a relentless quest to collect all six Infinity Stones—powerful artifacts that grant total control over existence. Once assembled in his Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos uses their immense power to erase half of all living creatures in the universe with a single snap. Despite his brutal, cold-blooded methods, he views himself not as a tyrant, but as a tragic hero making the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good, making him one of the most formidable and complex antagonists in superhero fiction.
