Less than two weeks until the Work in Progress screening & event! Get your laces, linens, sparkle and stars out of your closet. Were celebrating the celestial shift toward the great autumnal equinox.

This interactive event will give viewers an insight into the filmmaking / research behind the story, see the location where it was primarily shot (@samplemcdougaldhouse )and provide feedback that can be incorporated into the final cut.

One of the biggest aspects of a period piece, even filmmaking in general, is the art department.
How can you transport viewers to the time and place where your story exists, when it is so visually specific? This is where my fabulous art department comes in. So many hands were involved in building the story setting we needed, from costumes, to props, to SFX builds.

Not sure how much I can emphasize that Last Days of Koreshan would truly not have been produced had it not been for Tabatha. While initially agreeing to come on as the film’s Cinematographer—her constant guidance and feedback, and her convincing me to apply for Broward Arts and Culture grant, make me realize she is absolutely a co-producer of this film.
She is the creative calm in the eye of the storm on a film set. This weekend we continued our collaboration by shooting some much needed inserts that will get the cut in order for the WIP screening on Sept 18. Have you reserved your ticket yet?

It’s officially been a year since the @blunderlandfilm shoot 😭 i still can’t believe this happened. The most unreal experience of my life. The fact that these kind, talented, patient people each decided to work with me feels like a gift I could never say thank you enough for. Cannot wait to unearth this thing very soon 🎬🔮🏁

Well…

Where’d all the time go?

It feels like it was yesterday that I sat down in front of my computer, in a dark chapter in my life, and wrote a short screenplay, just so that I could feel something. And now, cut to a couple of years later, and that screenplay became my first ever self produced short film “Awakening”

This journey was never done alone. My family, my friends and my crew made sure I stayed afloat. With no backing from a professional studio/producer/investor, I had to remind myself that only I can carry myself to the finish line. What started as a therapeutic idea, blossomed into a life lesson that created many memories and experiences that I will take with me everywhere.

I messed up in more ways than one. But that was the beauty of it🥹

And tonight, at 8pm, everyone will see all the hard work that my crew and I sacrificed for!
