Sunday vibes with my mom at the World Trade Center! We found the perfect spot to soak up the sun amid a rainbow of murals around the Oculus and 9/11 Memorial Plaza. The outdoor gallery—organized by Silverstein Properties and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey—was created to brighten up the construction zone and share positive messages .

Artists like Alice Mizrachi’s Lotus Goddess inspire the flowing waves behind us, while street‑art legends Todd Gray, Hektad, BoogieRez, Stickymonger, and Chinon Maria & Sebastian Mitre splashed the space with pop‑art icons, love notes and uplifting characters . As Hektad explained, the goal is to bring love and joy to visitors who might arrive feeling somber , and these murals are a chance for the site to feel like a “phoenix rising” . I love how accessible public art invites everyone to enjoy and feel uplifted .
