LET'S TALK ABOUT ROAD SAFETY.

Here I am with the boys the other day, paying respects and condolences to the good Kenneth Calimpong, whose son I had the pleasure to meet earlier this year. Which made it even more shocking to me, hearing about his passing.

This was the result of a tragic motorcycle accident. But don't be fooled into thinking motorbike riders are the only ones exposed to danger. Just during our trip to visit Kenneth's memorial that day, along the way we saw one jaywalker, one driver looking at his phone, two mopeds cutting in front of The Bus while in motion, Waikiki pedestrians almost getting hit by cars, crossing the street at the wrong time, e-bikers doing all kinds of acrobacies in the middle of the road. What I see in these people is not only a lack of practice of safety measures, but also a lack of awareness in general, awareness of the laws, of the dangers, of their surroundings, etc. And this seems to be the problem everyday and everywhere in Hawaii.

PLEASE BE SAFE out there, everyone! Whether you're a driver, pedestrian, bike rider, motorbike rider, e-bike rider, You have a life and a family to come back home to and so does everyone else, so don't take for granted your safety. We don't need another accident on the news, another fatality, another someone's dad or mom, or son/daughter, or uncle/aunty, or cousin we have to bury now because of a moment of distraction or non-compliance. We can keep these things from happening if only we're a bit more conscious of our own and also others' safety and we stick to the safety rules. For ourselves and for our loved ones.

Just a thought. 💯

Rest in Aloha, Kenneth Calimpong. 🙏

The red dust of Crait swirled as Logan popped his claws with a metallic snikt. Luke met the sound with the snap-hiss of his blue lightsaber, the blade casting a sapphire glow over the desert floor.Logan lunged, a feral blur, but Luke parried the adamantium with the Force-guided grace of a Jedi. “I’m not your enemy,” Luke insisted, his blade humming against the claws.”Tell it to someone who cares, Bub,” Logan growled. The duel was cut short by the scream of TIE Fighters. An Imperial legion crested the ridge, lasers raining down. The two warriors stood back-to-back, blue plasma and silver steel shimmering in the sun.”Change of plans,” Logan spat, eyeing the Stormtroopers. “Let’s wreck some plastic.””I’m with you,” Luke replied, spinning his blue blade. Together, they charged the Empire. #wolverine #xmen #lukeskywalker #starwars #starwarsfan

Today we said goodbye with a big farewell party to one of Oahu's best record & book stores of over 40 years. Even beyond that, a great place to find also movies, magazines, comic books, action figures and other collectibles. Local entertainers & shoppers packed the house today for one last time with everything on sale. Me & my friends would hang out there now & then and buy CD's, LP's and other stuff. Every time I ordered a collection album not available in any store, they always had it or ordered it for me. Lots of cool memories.

Mahalo, @ideas_musicandbooks for serving Hawaii all these years and keeping us entertained,. enriched and happy.
We'll miss you guys.

Fun shenanigans last night at @cosmicrecordshawaii the new 90's Pop-up Bar experience in Hawaii. ...Although it's actually a little too 80's for a 90's bar! 😂😎 Cool time flashbacks, birthday celebrations, snacks and good fun. If you're at Pearlridge mall, stop by & check it out!

Happy birthday, Cindy! @mmmcoffeegottahaveit247
