It’s been 10 years since At Last dropped. Time flies. @therealeternia is going to have a listening party on IG tonight at 6. I want to thank all the artists and people that contributed to this record. This wasn’t an easy record to make, but in hindsight it was worth it.

Here’s another example of our privilege... we only knew the Juneteenth holiday by name until this year... how is such an important holiday for so many in our country not recognized by the government and not taught in school? So if you don’t know here it is... “On June 19, 1865, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, Union soldiers arrived in Texas to report that the Confederacy had surrendered two months earlier and that enslaved people were now free. Texas was the last state to receive the news... Juneteenth is a reminder that our freedom was fought for and not just handed over to us.” -Brianna Holt

This year we are finally aware and celebrating this important day... first by protesting to defend black lives this weekend... and second by joining @bandcamp in donating all sales from Soul Clap Records to the @naacp_ldf... It’s also release day for the first single from @fsqofficial new album (@thehourchild and @gkoopfuzz from the band are pictured here with us and @yolikegeorge) so it’s a great chance to cop that and support... or to grab new music form these other amazing artists... @theillustriousblacks, @osunladeofficial, @kush_jones_ or @lifeonplanets...

Finding joy in the simple things 💛🧡 My rose bushes are in full bloom so I've been enjoying their beauty and scent every chance I get. For Christmas, my love @gkoopfuzz had our gardener plant a dozen clippings in our front yard so I'm anxious to see which ones takes root! There's a few sprouting buds right now but it's still a mystery what colors each one are! Stay tuned!! #RoseLover #giftthatkeepsongiving #nofilter #pickaRosenotyourNose #mothernature #watchmygardengrow #smellmyroses
