The northerlies blew out the surf today but they also blew in some high trippy clouds which lit up the sky at sunset over the Currumbin creek. Two lots of wings over the creek one a man made kite and one a seagull heading home to roost for the night.

What a way to end the work week with Friday night sunset. The first two images were shot about 20 minutes apart. The first just a minute after the sun set and the second just as the blue hour kicked in. The air was full of dust yesterday with the very strong offshore westerlies and maybe there was a little bit still in the air to help throw these spectacular colours.

Golden hour tonight after another spectacular Winter’s day on the Gold Cold Coast. Light northerlies and temps around 23C have it a feel of Spring. overlooking Currumbin Alley was virtually a lake at high tide with a rare empty line up.

Theses two shots were taken about 10 minutes apart during the Golden Hour at Currumbin Rock as the sun set. The clouds were turning pink in the East when the rainbow appeared. Didn’t last long but added to another layer to tonight’s sunset.
