I am nothing without my village — from family to friends. My village has seen it all: the days filled with heavy self-doubt and procrastination, to the celebrations both big and small. They are my backbone, and without them by my side, these degrees would not have happened.

God blessed me with some of the best people in life, and every day I am grateful to have them. You are only as strong as your community, and trust me, mine is full of heavy hitters ❤️

To my transfer girls — I’m so thankful The Flats brought you all into my life and that each of you transferred to Winston when you did. Regardless of what WSSU threw at me, I always knew I could count on y’all for a shoulder to cry on and someone to celebrate and party with.

To my rock, my why, my role model — my MOM ❤️
I could write a whole book about you, but imma keep it cute. Thank you for all the values you instilled in me and for always going above and beyond to make sure I was never without. Thank you for always guiding me and never leaving my side, no matter the issue. Thank you for allowing me the space to blossom and make my own decisions, while always being there to catch me when I fell. Ms. Penny, YOU DID ITTT‼️ Your last baby girl graduated from college. WE HAVE 2 BACHELOR’S DEGREES, MOMMY ❤️

To YGB — thank you for being my first experience of what true college friendship looks like. Even though I was only with y’all for one year, you are the reason I was able to survive Iowa. You truly made my experience unforgettable. I love y’all forever 💛

To all the ones I’ve lost — I miss and think about each of you every single day. I will never forget the sacrifices, love, and memories that you poured into me. Even though y’all couldn’t be here physically, I know you’re all watching over me from the sky — my guardian angels. I know I’m making y’all proud‼️ ❤️

To all my friends and family nationwide who I couldn’t fit into this post — thank you for all the memories, laughs, prayers, and lessons we’ve shared together.
