Arlo’s Indie Craft Parade haul (not pictured, the roughly twelve popsicles he consumed over the three day adventure)!

This weekend was amazing. But even more so to get to see it through a five year old’s eyes. He learned some powerful lessons about customer service (example: “Let me know if you have any questions” is a far softer and more approachable intro than “Hi do you want to buy anything?” And when his mad money ran out, he learned about the glory of the Indie Craft Parade Trade (looking at you, @lalallaurrenn !!).

I, on the other hand…well, I was reminded of what I already knew: there is nothing quite like Indie Craft Parade weekend. It’s like summer camp (only you get to also sell your goods and make some money). Old friends and new ones. A whole room full of snackies to raid. A crew of volunteers who make things seamless even when you’re working the booth by yourself with a full bladder. 7000+ guests who make you feel like your bags are preferable to something with Hermès stamped into the leather. And, of course, the three most brilliant women to ever plan an event.

Smokestack for life, y’all! Long live Indie Craft Parade!!

A Year to Remember 💕

This past Monday, August the 3rd, I got to spend an amazing day in Atlanta with my most beloved, Jayda, as we celebrated our one year anniversary! This past year has changed me in so many ways and guiding me through it all was of course, Jayda. She’s guided me so much through all that life has entailed for me. Whether it be school, work, or Faith, she truly has been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. I’m so very grateful and thankful that God has positioned us in each other’s lives and entrusted me to love, protect, and nurture His finest of works. I’ve said it before, but seeing her each and every day might be the highlight of the day, but meeting her will always be the highlight of my life 💗. Here’s to one amazing year with the woman I love the most, and I cannot wait to celebrate an eternity more with you 🤗🫶 (p.s. I will ALWAYS love you more 😝)
