2025-2026 School Year

Get ready for a reflective rant… This school year has truly meant a lot to me. I kind of went into this year thinking that I had everything figured out and felt pretty comfortable with that thought, and that idea only seems ignorant to me now. As people we like to have all of the answers to what we are meant to think and do figured out as soon as possible, but the clear truth is that a goal like that is not possible or even necessary at all. We are not meant to know these things for years and years until we have experienced so much, if that time is even meant to come at all, and that’s perfectly okay. I appreciate all of the opportunities I had this year to improve, to work hard, to connect with new people and further connect with friends I already had, and to simply learn. With some family-health scares, it put me in a position where I had to be there for both of my grandparents in different ways while balancing the finals season of school. Experiences like that really show how important family is, and I realized that I wanted to and did put them first before anything I needed to do, but also got my stuff done. I would like to think that I tried my hardest to do the best that I could with every endeavor I faced. At some points I may have complained about the things I had to do that piled up throughout the year, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I loved it all. Every experience, whether good or bad, taught me something crucial, and I thank the people who brought me said experiences, whether we still talk or not. Sorry for the rambling, but these are just things I have observed and thought about throughout the year. Whether you’re a senior or simply someone who made it through each day of the year, I’m proud of you. With how I struggled sometimes throughout the year despite how blessed I am, I can’t imagine how difficult it is for so many people who face so much more. Just know that this world is better with you on it. To all of my friends and people around me, I truly appreciate you all, and especially to my graduating peers, I love all of you guys and I know that each of you will be successful in any way that you define it ❤️
