I never thought it was possible. Two majr roles in the span of a summer down in South Carolina. The biggest opera role to date -- the counterpart to Fransquita, the lovely @lilymspencer, the card-reading bad asses, in Carmen. So empowering, and the amazingly talented artists I got to work with made it a truly unforgettable experience. There was pressure and stress of course, but that intensity leads to growth.

Special thanks to maestro @gregorybuchalter, the great @amyshoremountobra , the versatile @ramseyelrey, Imogene, the amazimg costume designer who totally seemed to get my bidy type, Varna International, along with the beautiful cast I got to work with. I had to distill these moments into 20 pics -- as we say goodbye to summer and start the New Year, wanted to share this colossal accomplishment. Nursing a back injury and ringing in my bday made this a feat I will not soon forget. Also a shoutout to all my BK friends who checked in on me, and of course, my amazing family.

I had the absolute time of my life playing the role of Carmen last month! It was my first time singing a role of this scale, and I feel so grateful for all of the amazing people I met during the production and the bonds we created! (Idk why but I can’t find any of the group photos so can someone pls send them to me lol) Thank you to all of my colleagues and friends at this program, you were all such a delight to sing and collaborate with <3 thank you to the wonderful program @varnainternational and stage director @marvelartsjames for creating a lovely environment and guiding us so well. Thank you to the amazing @gregorybuchalter for creating such a safe musical environment and being a wonderful mentor to us all. Thank you to my friends and family for always being my support system and keeping me sane lol. And last, but certainly not least, thank you to my AMAZING teacher @amyshoremountobra for always believing in me, giving me the technical foundation and strength to do this role, being the best musical mentor a student can have, and for being my rock! It was an absolute pleasure collaborating with you all and I hope we will again in the future! What a dream come true 🌹🎶🥀💖

I am truly blessed and grateful to be a part of Bizet’s Carmen and finished my role debut as Le Remendado. It was really an amazing experience to connect with so many wonderful singers at the Varna International Music Academy this month. All of the rehearsals, lessons, and masterclasses in the program really helped me be the best singer I can ever be in life and I will never forget it. Thank you all so very much!
