Don’t get better than July 💥

We live in a world that constantly invites comparison.

Pete Fry shares stories from working with NHL goaltender Stuart Skinner since he was 16 years old, watching a dream written on paper eventually become reality. But he also gets vulnerable about his own journey, admitting how often he compared himself to other goalies and let their success determine how he felt about himself.

It’s a trap athletes at every level fall into.

Someone is always bigger, faster, stronger, further ahead, or getting the opportunities you want. The problem is that comparison rarely motivates for long. It usually steals confidence, joy, and perspective.

Your path isn’t supposed to look like anyone else’s.

Whether it’s Stuart Skinner’s journey to the NHL, a player grinding through junior hockey, or someone chasing a dream outside of sports, the lesson remains the same:

Focus on your lane. Trust your timeline. Keep showing up.

🎙️ Full episode with Pete Fry drops this Friday.

Please see the following updates from Jeff Glass Goaltending regarding the 2026 summer training schedule:

🇨🇦 Canada:

Due to scheduling constraints and a full-time move to San Diego, JGG will not be hosting a Canadian camp in 2026. The Calgary camp has been a long-standing and meaningful part of the program, and we’re grateful for the dedication, growth, and lasting relationships built over the years.

Private goalie sessions will be offered in Calgary (Lake Bonavista) from July 20–31, weekday mornings. Availability is limited and advance booking is required.
