Reactions are fun. Gold and silver for the win. Oh, and new jacks. They are Dino’s for sure. I had to use my finger to open this cup, just like Aaron’s jacks.

Turned our annual North Carolina camping trip into a bit of a glass tour! Spent a day in Asheville bopping from glass shop to glass shop, and then trucked out to Rhode Island to stay with Jon and Alessia ( @w.a.t.a_n.a.b.e @soda.glass.house ) and teach them some new stuff! SUCH a good time. Can’t wait till next time :)

Haven’t gotten any videos of myself making stemware at work in a while, so here’s a long one for you… This year has been really cool, Andi and I (and whoever’s bringing me bits) are the only ones making our Department of State glass this year! It’s a big order, and all this glass gets sent out to all of the US Embassy’s around the world. Pretty cool I get to do this with my love even though it’s incredibly difficult at times. 🖤 @officially.jigz

The last day to see “Tools of the Trades” is this Saturday, February 28!

Stop by to see the tools on display, and on Saturday you’ll also have the chance to meet California makers who are in the trenches of metalsmithing. In fact, you can bring your silver treasures for appraisal with master silversmith Randy Stromsoe who apprenticed with legendary silversmith Porter Blanchard.

3:00pm - Meet & Greet with SoCal blacksmith and author Joy Fire

4:30pm - Silver Stories and Restoration Roadshow with Silversmith Randy Stromsoe

Let us know if you plan to attend: rsvp@craftinamerica.org

“Tools of the Trades” is part of Handwork 2026 and runs through February 28, 2026 at the Craft in America Center in Los Angeles, CA.
