Glenarty Road – still one of our favourite places to dine in the South West

Yesterday we went back to Glenarty Road (near Karridale) for lunch and did the Every Acre Feast again. We’ve been many times before and will definitely go again.Absolutely delicious, as always. There’s something special about knowing almost everything on the plate came from the paddocks, garden and vineyard just outside.

The five-course Every Acre menu (snack, garden plate, house-made charcuterie, mains + sides and dessert) is pure paddock-to-plate goodness — fresh, honest and full of flavour. You can really taste the difference when the produce is picked that day. Add a matching wine flight and you’re in heaven on earth.

Other options are available too — including lunch with a farm tour. Kids are encouraged and nourished with their very own Junior Feast option. While you dine you can also browse a selection of Glenarty Road condiments, local artwork and divine ceramics by @bloomstudiobunbury — of which we had to take some home.

The setting is just as good as the food: warm and inviting, with views over the gardens onto the vineyard in the distance, and a relaxed, cosy feel. And of course we got the best welcome and farewell from the sweetest girl, Tassie the dog, who never fails to make an appearance.

If you haven’t been yet, book the Every Acre Feast. It’s one of the best farm-to-table experiences in the region and it just keeps delivering.

Margaret River is synonymous with the wine country that surrounds it, but the town has serious pull beyond the vineyards. From farmers markets and destination restaurants to small bars, surf breaks and towering karri forest, there’s plenty to build a weekend around. Add working farms, benchmark cellar doors and a bakery worth queueing for, and you have the makings of a particularly well-fed 36 hours.

Head to the link in bio for the full schedule.

Looking back on our stay at Chalet Coast in Wilyabrup, booked through Swell Stays. It was the ultimate off-grid reset.

Arriving to an amazing pre-booked hamper full of local food set the tone right away. We spent our mornings with kangaroos right at our doorstep, afternoons enjoying a long paddock-to-plate lunch at Glenarty Road, and evenings soaking in a bath under a sky full of stars.

Stepping out of the routine and into that kind of serenity always brings me right back to center. 🌿
