Dynamico closes out APEC with our startup Pitch and Demo Day in collaboration with Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Industry, and Tourism Board. This quarterly event bridges investors from SoftBank Ventures Asia, WIT Angels, Kickstart Ventures, Bay Angels, and Tome Ventures to Local and Philippine based startups. Also, local entrepreneurs and executives with the APEC delegation also had the chance to connect and collaborate.

What a great day!

Kicked the day off hosting @thescarletsage on @wearequilt for a audio conversation called “Ask a Master Herbalist.” We talked about everything from magnesium deficiency to regenerative farming and back again and had so much fun.

Next, my mom @lforsyth, who has been a healing artist for decades, hosted a teaching workshop @reikipatio for me and a few practitioner friends @glenngangano @tmiemi @daedrained. We learned a lot about lymphatic work and other techniques and laughed a ton!

Grateful for the mentors in my life with decades of experience. 🙏 And the opportunity to share their knowledge to help others! ✨

Picnic hangs with my lovely pal @glenngangano today! SF folks, if you need a massage therapist (who’s also a nurse, Reiki practitioner, and a million other skills) this is your guy... He’s an inspiring healer — and he can do house calls to outdoor spaces!

I find myself using the phrase “community of care” a lot lately. A week ago I was in Santa Barbara with my fellow students of SF Reiki Center visiting a new archive of Reiki history objects at UCSB. Five of us full-on Reiki nerds shared a vacation rental and found ourselves using any free time to support each other’s jet lag, hangovers, headaches, hearts. Community of care.
.
The phrase showed up again when I organized a business meeting introducing two female entrepreneurs over a rowdy dinner party with our six kids. Taking care of each other on first meeting with warm tasty food, good gin, and herd parenting.
.
I love seeing the way deep interest in each other’s well being is becoming more common and mainstream. As you gather with friends and family this week, think about what details could make a normal get together into a "community of care" get together. Maybe it’s doing everyone’s dishes, bringing handwritten notes, or offering a shoulder massage during TV time. We’ve heard it a million times, but it’s still true: "The love you make is equal to the love you take.” - Lennon/McCartney
