quick little trauma dump for your sunday night:

on june 6th, I was told I have colon cancer, the most devastating and terrifying diagnosis I could ever imagine receiving at 24 years old. I went from celebrating my graduation and planning the start of my career to suddenly needing urgent surgery to remove a tumor I didn’t even know I had.

on june 27th, I had the major surgery where they removed 25 cm of my colon and 20 surrounding lymph nodes. I woke up in pain and afraid with an incision that marked not just my body, but the beginning of a long and uncertain road ahead.

I’ve been feeling so many emotions, but I am so so so beyond grateful for the people I have in my corner. this diagnosis, while scary, has uncovered parts of myself that I didn’t know were there: resilience, faith, determination, and fight!!!!

if there is one thing I hope you take away from my story, it’s this: if something feels off in your body, listen. ask questions. push for answers. you are your biggest advocate!!! 💙💙💙💙

side note: swipe to the end to see me looking super cute straight out of surgery😂
