And now, some of the not-green colours of the year for 2027!

1. C2 Paint 'Pueblo' - "In daylight, you see those surprising rosy, plum notes. As the light disappears, it becomes darker and more earthen.”

2. Dutch Boy 'Deep Rooted' - "An earthy orange that helps you create a home that feels inviting, personal, and alive with natural colour."

3. Glidden 'Artifact' - “A calm, fresh aqua that can feel and function like a neutral colour, creating a grounded backdrop while adding depth and a sense of freshness.”

4. Graham & Brown 'Rose Earth' - "This draws on natural mineral pigments from Italian clay, reflecting the timeless depth and reliability of earthy tones."

5. Valspar 'Cottage Door' - "A versatile, trans-seasonal colour to inspire thoughtful and introspective spaces."

👑 Fit for a king and queen 👑

This primary suite went from builder white to a full navy color drench (SW 6244 Naval) — walls, ceiling, and trim all wrapped in deep blue — with gold traced along the ceiling detail and through the archway @gliddenpaints

That’s what color drenching does: one rich shade, everywhere, until a plain bedroom stops feeling like a bedroom and starts feeling like a royal chamber. Moody, elegant, completely immersive.

Would you go this bold in your own suite, or is navy where you draw the line? Tell us below. 👇

I turned my daughter's old boring, beige bedroom into a dark and moody home office for myself. I'm not done yet, but here's the progress I made this weekend. 💜✨

My @blackanddecker_us sander is the real MVP of this project because it turns out that refinishing furniture is just 90% sanding 😂

(If you’re new to Side Quest Sunday, I decided after my divorce that I wanted my house to be much more boho and gay— so I’m redecorating everything! It’s a different creative outlet than quilting, but I’m having a blast learning new skills!)

All it took was my daughter telling me she’d move out of our room if she could share one with her little brother. I SAID SAY LESS! 😂

So I headed to @homedepot and picked up @gliddenpaints 2027 Color of the Year, Artifact (PPG10-16), and got to work!

I’m really loving how this color transformed their room! Daddy’s painting duties are officially complete. Now it’s Mama’s turn to bring it all together with the decorating! 😂

Paint gifted by Glidden.

While everyone was preparing for Isaiah, a little creativity found its way into the chaos. 🎨🌪️

Sometimes inspiration doesn't wait for the perfect conditions. Between storm preparations and the uncertainty of what was coming, this piece of art came to life.

A reminder that even when the world outside feels unsettled, there's still room to create something beautiful.
