A little Korean-inspired hojicha moment! 🍵✨

@glimpsematchapopup is a Portland-area matcha pop-up run by a Burmese + Korean couple, bringing creative drinks inspired by their backgrounds, including flavors rooted in traditional Korean treats!

We caught them at their recent pop-up inside Mejuri at Washington Square and got to try two of their hojicha creations: • Hotteok Injeolmi Hojicha • Hojicha Einspanner

I love seeing traditional Korean flavors like hotteok and injeolmi incorporated into creative drinks, and it’s always fun discovering small pop-ups bringing something different to the local matcha scene!

Glimpse is a matcha pop-up bar founded by Korean & Burmese couple @justchone and @glimpseofchae, serving specialty matcha drinks inspired by their roots and cultures. Believe me when I say these two are creating something truly special. 🤍

While shooting this pop-up, I lost count of how many people asked if Glimpse had a permanent location. For now, they’re strictly a pop-up, but I have a feeling that dream of having a space of their own isn’t too far away.

Until then, show them some love and support them whenever you can. Maybe one day we’ll all be sipping Glimpse matcha in their very own spot. 🍵🙂‍↕️
