my new song ‘Wasted’ is out!! WOOHOOOO! thanks to everyone involved in bringing this song I wrote when I was 19 to life! it hits even harder at 24. I think it’s really easy to forget that we’re all just figuring it out as we go along. life, especially in your 20s, is exhausting and confusing and awesome and awful, and that’s what this song is about. I love this one and Im super proud of it and I hope you all take a few minutes to listen :)) maybe have a drink before you do 🌀🌀🌀

Benefit for @savagesistersrecovery

Yeah… been hard to keep quiet about this one. The gig to end all gigs. If you are a fan of experimental music in the city of Philadelphia, this is the show for you. The legendary @godcasterband have arisen from their hibernation and are making their long-awaited return to their former home turf. Joining them are the finest selection of acts that Philly has to offer: the illustrious @fib_band, the elusive @null.phl, the incendiary @judgetaurus, and the incomparable @sodaseas_. These primo bands join forces at the one and only @ukie.club to benefit @savagesistersrecovery, a local Philly org dedicated to helping those struggling with substance abuse. Special thanks to @orpheus.garden for setting this show in motion and of course to @4333collective for their invaluable support. This is truly a gig of the summer, so tuck in your shirt, grab a pal, and head over to where it’s all really happening.

MEET SODASEAS ⭐️⭐️⭐️

@sodaseas_ is a vibrant, mangled tapestry of a rock band. Weaving together acoustic-synthesized textural landscapes, explosive guitars in demand for catharsis, and agonized Spanish shrieking, the young band has built a reputation of exhibiting their deeply personal cultural reflections as assertions that rattle audiences to their animalistic core.

Initially formed and fronted by Alex Ramirez in Texas, the now Philly-based act enlists Scarlet Brigham on viola, Moa on percussion and synths, Joni Odisho on bass, and Vasco Madrid on drums. Often self-recorded and always self-produced, their series of singles released in 2025 explore immigrant life in modern America through deeply existential storytelling. The shoegaze -twinged ballad, “Plead”, likens social rejection to death itself in engulfing abrasion. The sweeping string section of “Tezcatlipoca (The Return)” washes over in waves, signifying the inevitable passage of time, while the rallying cries of “Carmenta (Prophetic Visions)” mourn the loss of a child at the hands of ICE agents over corrosive post-punk vitriol and Afro-Cuban rhythms.

See SODASEAS and many more on 6/27 at the Rotunda ‼️

here today, gone tonight. OUT NOW!!!

song 2 from our sessions with @alyson.witt little close to a year ago. Beyond relieved and ecstatic to finally have this song done. I wrote it at a wedding reception, couple weeks after made a demo with Mia forever ago at my place mad late one night. Extremely excited for everyone to check it out. We seriously can't thank aly enough for helping us get these songs down, being able to track live in a room with the guys is something I'm never gonna forget. Even if Izzy kept shouting butt jokes before the start every take.

playing a benefit show in jersey city friday. gonna probably play the song there. dm for address. fuck ice.

2026 has been god awful but I'm beyond thankful that I'm surrounded by good friends and good music all the time and that my friends have the same in their lives. Music is a form of resistance and the act of playing/performing/dancing/finding joy, solace, or even something to think about from even just listening is resistance. Anyone who tells you or thinks otherwise, in the famous words of R Stevie Moore, is just a part of the problem.
