I was never a good student. One of the only things that stood out for me from science class, was the law of INERTIA- specifically the idea that things in motion stay in motion.

Sometimes forces beyond our control change the direction of that motion.

Today as a woman, reading the news, it feels like so much of the forward motion is now going backwards.

It dawned on me that both can be true. Forward and backwards at the same time.

This epic crew right here feels like major forward motion.

I have never been more proud, inspired and excited by a camera team!

Led by the amazing cinematographer @zamarinwahdat

The name of the game, keep moving. Keep fighting for your rights and don’t stop regardless of how far back you get kicked.

Tabula Rasa translates to “blank slate”, “clean slate”, “scraped tablet”

i think one of the most beautiful things we can offer ourselves in this life are new beginnings, blank slates to spill our imaginations across. after making music for many years i got to the point where i knew i needed something to shift in order to keep going. i spent a long time clearing out pre-conceived notions of what it is i’m supposed to be doing in this material-centric realm, and shifted the focus back to what my soul was calling me to do. when i started working on this album i was so so sooo uninspired. but what i learned about inspiration is that when you feed it diligently and lovingly, it has no choice but to multiply. so i continued to feed it until something very whole and complete lay at my feet 🤍
