Glo Phase is the solo project of Los Angeles-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Rusnak.

With a long history in electronic production, live performance, and sound design, his work as Glo Phase blends ambient textures with rhythmic structures, balancing introspective atmospheres and movement-driven energy.

His releases span labels such as 100% Silk, @ctatsupurr, @stasisrecordings, @whiskeypickle, @image.research.records, and @lowrecordings. 8p GLO PHASE - live electronic set
Dark Live Electronics | Deep House | Leftfield

Hardware set featuring Elektron Analog Rytm, Novation Bass Station II, and MXR Carbon Copy analog delay. Centered around improvisation, this live performance builds from a basic sketch, and morphs sounds in real time. Rhythms shift, textures evolve, and ideas develop organically, with each set taking its own shape rather than following a fixed arrangement. The aim is to retain the spontaneity and unpredictability of a truly live experience, with no two sets unfolding quite the same way.

Back with another edition of m_boogs & friends with the homie @glo_phase !
I met him during his Buried Treasure nights with @wavegroove and was honored to spin there a couple of times as well. We also had a good time spinning some tunes in CDMX last year with our friends!
You can find him spinning at Apotheke in la for his new night @potion001
Glo Phase goes crazy with the hardware sets. Look up his set at Sunday Sessions LA on youtube. Crazy stuff!
This time he laced me with a dope house set and I keep the vibe going with some dope house & broken beat joints. Hope you enjoy!

MIXED SIGNALS 002 // ARTIST HIGHLIGHT @glo_phase

Glo Phase is the solo project of Los Angeles–based composer and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Rusnak. Rooted in dreamy dance and downtempo, the project leans into house and machine-driven techno while still moving through ambient and leftfield spaces; drawing as much from funk, jazz, and classic synth music as it does from club traditions. Rusnak has been working with instruments and machines for decades, starting on guitar in the late ’90s and moving into electronic production soon after, developing a voice that prioritizes feel, texture, and personality over formula. He has performed extensively across the U.S., with additional international appearances, bringing the project to a wide range of club and live settings. Glo Phase live sets center on hardware improvisation, building in real time from sketches rather than fixed arrangements, while DJ sets lean deep, off-center, and rhythm-forward.

Releases span labels including 100% Silk, Constellation Tatsu, Stasis Recordings, Whiskey Pickle, Image Research, and Low Recordings, with multiple vinyl and cassette editions reflecting an ongoing commitment to physical formats.

Catch Glo Phase this Saturday July 18th at Mixed Signals. Text “House” to 844-405-8116 for info and click the link bio to RSVP
