As the Geneva Summit came to a close, our curator, Charlize, returned to Prague with new ideas, valuable insights, and meaningful connections from across the Global Shapers network🌍

The summit provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, expand global networks, and develop the leadership skills needed to create greater impact in local communities🤝

We look forward to putting these learnings into action and continuing to strengthen our community here in Prague💙

Thank you to the Global Shapers Community for this inspiring experience! ✨🌍

Does #TBT still count if it’s on a Tuesday?

We are feeling nostalgic from just about over a week ago where we were able to enjoy the amazing Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park!

Can we go back to our Global Shaper U.S. Southeast Region Retreat?

This past weekend, 7 hubs. 20+ Shapers. One state park. And more than we could have ever planned. 🌿🫶

From honest, meaningful connection discussions, a hike through the park led by two resident rangers who brought the wilderness to life, and a restorative yoga session held by a fellow shaper- Friendships formed across hubs from FL, GA, TX, NV & beyond!

This year’s retreat was built around three things: connecting with our hubs and the broader Shaper community, reconnecting with nature and ourselves, and thinking creatively about the impact we want to have. Through non- traditional activities, we left feeling artistic, renewed, and closer to ourselves and each other!

This weekend, members of the Global Shapers Orlando Hub joined Shapers from across the country—including Atlanta, Houston, Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami, and even Las Vegas—at the U.S. Southeast Retreat at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park.

It was a weekend filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and shared learning on how we can create more impactful projects and strengthen our communities.

A special thank you to Cathy Dos Santos, Courtney Ardizzoni, and Kathleen Tan for creating such a thoughtful and inspiring experience.

We’re excited to bring new ideas, partnerships, and energy back to Orlando as we continue shaping a more connected and resilient future. 🌎✨

Amazing things happen when Shapers from 17 different cities gather in one place 🌎✨

Last weekend, the Houston and Austin Hubs co-hosted a retreat that brought together 50 Shapers from across the US and Mexico.

We spent the weekend talking about our projects and the social issues we care about, doing a trail-cleaning volunteer activity, and joining incredibly inspiring sessions led by Alexis Taylor. We also worked on best practices for building strong, successful hubs… but more than anything, we had fun and built real community. 💙

Here’s to many more moments like this 🙌🏻

From Jaipur to Geneva, with 💛

This year at the Global Shapers Community Annual Meeting in Geneva, every Shaper carried a piece of Jaipur with them — the official Summit tote bags! 🛍️✨

Designed and crafted with purpose, these bags brought together elements from some of our most meaningful projects:
Neela Chhapa and Eyes of Hope.

It was more than just a tote — it was a story of craft, culture, and community impact, handpicked from Jaipur and shared with the world. 🌍

Here’s what fellow Shapers had to say about carrying a bag that carries purpose. 💫

This July I had the opportunity to represent the Tampa Hub of Global Shapers as incoming curator at the Global Shapers Annual Summit.

With this year’s theme #NextGenNow, I have been reminded, of how young people like myself and my fellow attendees, are essential stakeholders in our fields and can impact the powerful trajectory of our world’s future.

As I partook in this summit with representation of over 500 cities in 150 countries, I have been inspired to take back to my community the powers of our stories and connections we withhold.

I will forever treasure all the connections I’ve made over the past few days and look forward to continuing them with cross-hub projects and collaborations. From the inspiring conversations to overcome minority health disparities to the bonding activities during lunch over sambal and rice, this #GSAS25 will be one to remember forever!

If you are interested in being apart of the solution apply in our bio 💙🌎

🌍 Last week, our curator Agustina Amilibia attended the Global Shapers Annual Summit 2025 in the World Economic Forum Headquarters in Geneva, together with hundreds of hub leaders from across the world.

The Summit is an annual gathering where young changemakers from 500+ cities, islands, and refugee camps come together to build connections, spark bold collaborations, and spotlight what truly matters to today’s youth.

This year at Global Shapers Houston, inspired by the conversations and connections at the Summit, we’re focusing on empowering our members and strengthening our hub, with the clear goal of making a bigger impact locally — because we believe that local action is key to global change.

During the Summit, we also met with curators from across the US South region, and we’re now working together to build a more connected and collaborative region. Big things are coming, and we’re excited for the year ahead.
