Last week I not only had the honor of partnering creatively with @luomostrano by way of making/designing all of the head pieces for his latest collection, but I also had the privilege of modelling/closing the runway showcase.

L’uomo Strano’s newest wears speak louder than just clothes, but a statement for the voices/bodies being policed and hushed now and throughout history. It’s a statement but also celebration and reminder that we are here and have always been here — specifically the dolls, gender non-conforming people, and persons of colour.

New on @glossimag: L’uomo Strano Walks for the Dolls and Demands You Pay Attention — and we did.

We walked for the dolls. We walked for the misgendered archives. We walked for trans futures wrapped in mesh, vinyl, and prophecy.

This Pride, we honour not just joy — but resistance.
This runway was stitched in memory and defiance, for every girl they tried to rename, erase, or ignore.

For the 20th anniversary of @fashionarttoronto, @luomostrano’s collection was both a love letter and a battle cry. It’s a Valley of the Dolls, recast — who makes it in the big city, who ends up on the Quaaludes, and who walks off the runway straight into Pedro Pascal’s arms? ⁠
