After seven decades of serving the Central Valley, Craig Johnson is announcing his retirement and the farewell sale at Salmon’s Furniture Galleries.

“Serving this community has been the honor of my life.”

When Craig looks across the showroom, he doesn’t just see furniture… he sees seven decades of Valley history, milestones and family memories. Young newlyweds who came in for their first living room set, then returned decades later with their children and grandchildren.

“Walking away from that is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But it is the right time for retirement and provides me the time to spend with my family and friends before I get too old.”

After the devastating store fire in 2001, the people of Hanford showed up and helped Salmon’s rebuild brick by brick.

“We did not save this store on our own, our friends and neighbors saved it. I promised myself then, that I would spend every day earning a second chance that this community gave us. That kindness is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Now, Salmon’s begins its final liquidation event, with all 35,000 square feet of merchandise marked down for immediate clearance.

“THANK YOU for allowing us to serve you for so many wonderful years.”

Come antiquing with me ✨ I grabbed my iced coffee from Common Heart in Visalia and wandered my way through the Visalia Antique Mall. There’s just something so peaceful about spending my day off getting lost in little treasures and quiet corners. If you know me, you know this was my ideal way to spend my morning💐
