L’ANGE DU FOYER - pour @fluffy_bidule 👸

Une journée entière pour réaliser ce maquillage sur moi-même. Inspiré par « L’Ange du Foyer » ou « Le Triomphe du surréalisme » de Max Ernst.

Peint en 1937, ce tableau tire son premier nom d’un poème du XIXe siècle (qui évoque la figure traditionnelle de la femme au foyer), tandis que le second sous-titre renforce la dimension monstrueuse et destructrice de la créature représentée, souvent vue comme une allégorie du franquisme.

Amazing makeup demo from my theatre class at @cmucollege. ❤️
I had the pleasure of creating this look on one of my alumni and an incredible artist, @chelsea.mcnamara / @cmcnamara.mua.
Headpiece and shoulder piece designed and created by me.
Makeup inspired by the incredible artist @xiaoyuan_joshua.
Through this look, I taught my students techniques including bald cap application, brow blocking, colour theory, and the use of stencils to create the final design.
Another look to inspire my students and fellow makeup artists. ✨

Hours of concentration went into this one 🕷️❤️‍🔥 Inspired by my favourite hero, Spider-Man, and my attempt at the beautiful @beatsbydeb version of this look.
It’s far from perfect, but I’m so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave it a go 🥹✨ Now currently scrubbing the blue off my face as we speak 🤣
