‘Womanhood’ (Look 1/10)

This collection is a reflection of womanhood in all its rawness. Each look was constructed to represent a different stage of a woman’s experience––navigating their identities, bodies, and emotions with confidence. Asymmetry, mixed proportions and unusual shapes all in alignment. Each model was handpicked to help tell the story honestly and fully.

The hair and makeup are overdone—gaudy, messy, almost excessive at times. The garments themselves reflect a similar tone. This was a deliberate choice, meant to comment on the expectations placed on women in today’s society and the rigid beauty standards they are constantly measured against.

Creative Direction & Collection Design by @spencerthinks for @adidasoriginals & @kellyhsiehdesigns the label.
