“Frozen used to be quite a stale aisle.” @glowwithbelle built the first functional frozen brand, and the hardest part wasn’t the product. It was answering one question from every retailer she pitched. Where do you sit in the frozen set? @roxiisupercube currently sits with frozen fruit, next to the smoothie cubes and smoothie bowls. Not because that’s where it belongs, but because a wellness set in frozen doesn’t fully exist yet. Her read on why the aisle changed: brands like @trufru and @fruitriot spent the last four or five years getting Gen Z to walk down it at all. Consumers learned that frozen can be more nutritious than fresh, and that it can be fun. She thinks it’s still early. Full interview with Belle Robinson, founder of Roxy Supercubes, on @unpackagedgoodspod Follow @deetseatsnyc for more daily consumer news, served hot. I also want to take this moment to thank our incredible guest in residence @izzyutterson for the best Sunday sessions 🤍 Sending you all my love x
