Bittersweet seeing this one officially live on Bring a Trailer. A lot of time, memories, and love went into this Blazer, but life happens and sometimes it’s time to let one go and move on to the next chapter. Hopefully she finds a great new home with someone who appreciates her as much as we have. Wish me luck! 🤞 #HoganBuilt #K5Cousins #K5Blazer #BringATrailer @bringatrailer lot #267182

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a diehard Chevy/GM guy. Our business runs around 200 work vehicles—all GM. I’ve supported this brand for years. But this has gotten ridiculous. We bought this $100K+ Escalade to be a safe, dependable family vehicle. The original 6.2L catastrophically failed—spun bearing, metal in the engine, towed to the dealer. GM replaced the entire engine under warranty. We thought that was the end of it. It wasn’t. The replacement engine has since been back for a flashing check-engine light, misfire, coolant concerns and low-oil warnings. Now it’s back AGAIN, and we’re being told the replacement engine is leaking coolant internally and needs HEAD GASKETS AND LIFTERS. Seriously? We’re tearing apart the new motor now too? My wife doesn’t trust the vehicle anymore. My kids don’t want to ride in it because they’re afraid it’s going to break down again. I’m a loyal GM customer. I understand vehicles break. But two engines worth of major problems in the same Escalade isn’t acceptable. We’ve stood behind GM for years. Now it’s time for GM and Cadillac to stand behind us. GM. CADILLAC. WHERE YOU AT? ⚡️The Hidden Complexity of EV Repairs⚡️ A collision involving this brand new GMC HUMMER EV is about far more complex than just replacing damaged parts. Every repair for these requires high-voltage safety procedures, OEM repair methods, advanced materials, and precision craftsmanship. No problem for Metro! On this repair, the damaged quarter panel wasn’t repaired—it was replaced following GM factory procedures. That included removing hundreds of factory spot welds, test-fitting a new OEM panel, restoring corrosion protection, achieving factory-level alignment, and refinishing the vehicle to OEM standards. Modern EVs also rely heavily on cameras, sensors, and advanced driver assistance systems that must be properly restored and calibrated to ensure they function exactly as designed, especially after a collision repair. As a GM Certified Collision Center, Metro Auto Body has the specialized training, manufacturer-approved equipment, and OEM procedures needed to repair today’s most advanced vehicles the right way. At Metro Auto Body, we simply don’t believe in shortcuts. We believe in doing it the right way—because your safety, your vehicle’s integrity, and the quality of the repair depend on it. Looking for the right job? Come to us! 💥 This is the Metro Way. 💥 The Metro Way is the OEM Way. ✅ GM Certified Collision Repair Network Facility And this is only the beginning… Stay tuned because we’re dropping a lot more jaw-dropping repair transformations, behind-the-scenes content, and OEM-certified repairs that showcase the standard we hold ourselves to every single day.
