Last Saturday I shot a scene for the first role I’ve gotten from auditioning outside of school! This is not that!😅 I was feeling really galvanized afterwards and had plans to meet up with a friend that evening. I asked if they’d mind helping me shoot something, and they brought another close friend of ours along, and we shot this in a Loblaws parking lot between Midnight and 2am!🤣 I cut in some footage from a couple other friends projects (I’ve shown them, they’re cool with it!) and finished this cut by Monday night - so I accidentally did my own 48 hour film challenge 😅 I’m really happy with how it’s turned out! Right now I’m using it as the lightest “proof of concept” possible, just to catch a vibe and energy that I’ve been wanting to work with for a while now. I’m hoping it’ll snowball into something bigger as I rope more people into it! If you like this short character piece, anime, synthwave, leather jackets, and/or scrappy filmmaking, feel free to reach out! 🥰 ALSO the song included is Prairie Fyre by Toronto legends Shortline Hero! ——————————————— #night #synthwave #retro #80s #torontofilm
