Lunch at Hôtel du Marc, Veuve Clicquot's residence in Reims.
La Grande Dame back to 1990 with chef de caves Didier Mariotti @didier_mariotti, then Reims artist Gustine @gustine.music came back with her harp for a duet nobody had planned! The cellars kept a 1980 for last.

A vertical of every Blanc des Millénaires ever released is not a tasting that happens often.

Ten vintages have been declared in more than forty years, roughly one every four, and they rarely appear together in the same room.

On June 9, 2026, at the Residence Eisenhower in Reims, they did, and I was lucky enough to be amongst the very few to witness this occasion.

Thank you to the entire team at Champagne Charles Heidsieck for this once-in-a-lifetime invitation. 🙏🏼🥂
