A couple of years ago Ryan from Gnome Hammer gave me a hammer blank at Makercamp.

I had the tooling, I had (some) of the knowledge on how to punch an eye. I just never took the plunge.

Tonight the weather was nice, Steve was out in the shop and I said screw it let's do it!

Today was the day. It was messy but we did it!!

I had such a good time. We even made a lube cup.

This is it!!!

What would this be called? A surface grinder or a Blanchard grinder?
