Ausstellungseröffnung / Exhibition Opening: Saturday October 3rd, 7pm PHOTO CLUSTER: EMERGING ARTISTS 2026 MATTEO LISANTI, NICO PISTEC, DAVID ESTÉVEZ Drifting Through brings together three practices that explore Marc Augé’s concept of the non-place. Non-places are all around us: airports, waiting rooms, tourist sites – spaces organised around circulation, efficiency, repetition and temporary presence. In Matteo Lisanti’s Necrovalley, the non-place reveals itself as an ephemeral village on the beach of Lido di Classe. Built from driftwood and other materials gathered from the sea and nearby forest, these shelters appear during the day to host beach visitors and disappear at dusk, leaving behind a landscape that is continuously constructed and dismantled. It is an ongoing series in collaboration with Luca Campestri. Nico Pistec’s Selfportraits shifts this investigation of non-permanence towards the intersection of automation and identity. The artist does not use a traditional camera but instead hijacks the photobooth, a transient space removed from real space and time. As he presses the button but never enters the machine, he allows it to photograph itself. The booth’s white interior—normally reduced to an almost invisible background for the individual—becomes the subject of the image. In David Estévez’s thank you for your visit, this process of abstraction moves from the physical world into the algorithm. Estévez feeds his own travel photographs through a neural network, producing sequences of near-identical images in which the recognisable features of turistic atractions remain while the personal disappears. Across the three works, the non-place emerges not as somewhere we simply pass through, but as a system that continually transforms the particular into the generic. The works in the exhibition Drifting Through ask what kinds of identity, memory, and belonging might persist in spaces built for none of them. Curated by Olja Simčič Jerele Diese Ausstellung ist Teil des Jahresprogramms von ZIGUTAMVE – Verein für zeitgenössische Fotografie und wird aus dem Kulturbudget des Bezirks Neubau finanziert. The work proceeds from the question of how an altered voice can be made visible as a moment of physical and identity-related shift. Its starting point is illness as a moment in which the taken-for-grantedness of one’s own body breaks down. Marie Luise Baumschlager (@marieluise.baumschlager): Zwitschern Marie Luise Baumschlager (@marieluise.baumschlager): Zwitschern Marie Haefner (@marie_haefner): Aura “Aura“ examines epilepsy and its visual representation, drawing on Marie Haefner‘s experience of the condition. At its centre are so-called auras — shifts in perception, consciousness, and sensation that occur in everyday life and usually remain invisible to those around the person experiencing them. While epilepsy is frequently represented in media contexts through the image of a seizure, this work engages with less visible, yet often more frequent, manifestations of the condition. Installation shots from TREFFPUNKT KÜCHE Presented at Angewandte Festival, 01-04.07.2026 500 WATT is a nomadic independent space located inside a repurposed microwave, focu- sing on young & emerging artists. It functi- ons as a radically scaled-down art space that questions the mechanisms of contemporary exhibition making. As the title of the exhibition TREFFPUNKT KÜCHE might suggest, the overarching theme is the kitchen as a social (& literal) meeting point. Not only is the kitchen a very logical space for a microwave to appear in, but it also often serves as the centre of a gathering somewhere between the sink & the stovetop. The kitchen is a space of preparation, consumption & routine. It is a place where strangers become acquaintances & friends. For this exhibition, the participating artists approach the kitchen not as a fixed location but as a site of exchange, experimentation, & occasional chaos, bringing together diffe- rent perspectives from a variety of depart- ments within the University of Applied Arts. Here maybe Final Post For the ones who didn’t get it yet: For this project we first unpacked and discussed 46 nothing-themed works on a boat and then months later brought them all inside a room(2 rooms) and showed our Unpackaging video on a Little screen. The Video is titled „The Nothing Show“ while the presentation was titled „The Nothing Show Final“. As You See not all of the 46 works made it to the boat presentation due to „unrealistic“ planning. The other half we opened just infront of the boat rental, which was stupid but someone cool and fresh We are thankful the company let us go on that boat with 46 packages anyway… Both happened in Vienna 2025 Full Video online soon Camera: @arizonakarl Guest: @bugsfall Edit: @marcuswagner.xd Set Up Support Venue 2: @masasallai FULL DOCU ON WEBSITE (LINK IN BIO) Works by Marija Malicevic @marija_malicevic Maximilian Schwarz @mxschwarz Alice Burg @grtvusa Flo Bracey @flobraceytea Eliška Jahelková @eliskajah Croix Nueve @croix999 Hannah Weisz @hannahchampagner #ffff00 Andreas Kopp @rembrandt_lounge Laurenz Julian Greuter @blablalorenco Annika Horn @saurebaeren Zoé Cathérine García @zoe.catherine.garcia Pia Maria Sispela @visamonie_pms Angela Yip @kyykyay Sonja Heim @snheim Maia Liebeskind @_slowcoaster Giulia Dutly @giuliamdutly Lauma Muizarāja @lauma.world Emely Mair @emymayonnaise Lisa Mayer @hypernormalisa Luna Brandner @lunabrandner Katrīna Čemme @program_k.c Zara Safari @zarasafaristudio Maximilian Schwarz @mxschwarz Florian Jaunernig @javornik11 Marcus Wagner @marcuswagner.xd Paulina Buda @p.o.l.l.yyy Masa Sallai @masasallai Johanna Sandels @johannasandels Thomas Süß @synthesuesser Flora Weber @semino.glossy Hannah Weisz @hannahchampagner Cristina Rüesch @cristina.rueesch Felix Schwentner @newlatteart Lisa Mayer @hypernormalisa Konstantin Leitner @konstantindotcom David Hartig @david000hartig Krišjānis Beļavskis @ch2kb Nico Pistec @gnotschi2000 Emely Mair @emymayonnaise Jesaja Trummer @jesaja.trummer Baxtr @_baxtr_ Jaromil Wiest @kreis3eck Flora Weber @semino.glossy Felix Schwentner @newlatteart Konrad Weichs @konradweichs Lara Finkenstädt @larafinkenst

OH, FOR MATERIAL‘S SAKE! OPENING: 22.11.2025, 18:00, Paulusplatz 5, 1030 Vienna Artist Talk and & Finissage 29.11., 17.00 Artists: Pavle Banović, Magdalena Chan, Jonathan Dellago, Michael R. Jimenez, Jakub Kłak, Yevheniia Kriuk, Yaroslava Melnychenko, Nico Pistec, Jule Thullner The workshop of analogue photography brought together students from various departments at the University of Applied Arts to explore the materiality and physicality of analog photography. Starting from traditional techniques, nine artistic approaches broke processes down to their essentials, introduced sustainable alternatives, and foregrounded the body’s interaction with the medium. Through experimental manipulation, black-and-white and color materials blended, images dissolved, and the photographic process itself became visible. The participating artists applied with their own concepts and were selected for the course and resulting exhibition. organised by the workshop @analogefotografie_angewandte / @claudia_rohrauer & @rastl.lisa with students of @dieangewandte in the frame of the @rotlichtfestival 2025 🔥 #groupexhibition #analoguephotography #rotlichtfestival #materiality #analogueprocess #handprinted #experimental @pavvvle , @oitanimulli , @jonathandellago , @mchl_rj @jakub.klak , supernovwva , @yaraiswho @gnotschi2000, @juuleth
