"For the past 15 years, Christa and I have walked hand in hand around the world leading @gointernational together. __ Our travels have taken us to the jungles of Peru and Ecuador, islands of Panama, and temples of Hong Kong and Thailand. Our close up view of the world has shaped our views of humanity, culture, and Christianity. We set out to impact the world and found that the world impacted us." -- @gregbbaca __ You can read more about the Baca’s on our site onetul.com (Link in Bio) __

This was a very special week for our nonprofit @go_international as we were honored by the municipality of #Quito for our work in the city with children who have been trafficked. Thank you to all of our @submerge.tv teams throughout the years, for your tireless work and for loving these beautiful children with all of your might.

On our last Friday night, we were doing a vision campaign in the party district of Quito, Ecuador with our contact. We were asking people what their vision was for their lives and praying for people to believe in and pursue that vision. • We met a woman named Rosa who I’d seen walking around the corner many times trying to sell little packages of gum and lollipops to make a living. At first, she couldn't think of anything she wanted in her future because she could only see her present circumstances. • After talking with her a little more, she finally said her dream was to own her own store out of her home instead of selling things on the street. We got to speak life into her dream and pray for her at the end. As we walked away, I felt that was the first moment she had awakened hope and vision for her future, and one of the first moments someone had seen her and believed in her. • Even though it seems small, if we do small things with great love, everything can change in a person's life! - Daniela Bolivar #WhatCouldBe

ON APRIL 16, 2016 A 7.8 EARTHQUAKE ROCKED THE NATION OF ECUADOR, KILLING MORE THAN 400 PEOPLE AND INJURING OVER 2,500. AT THE EPICENTER OF THE QUAKE, THE COASTAL TOWN OF PEDERNALES, MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LEFT WITHOUT FOOD, WATER, SHELTER OR MEDICINE. In addition to the destruction found at the epicenter, many towns and villages along the coast have been decimated. While both governmental and non-governmental agencies have rushed to meet the immediate needs in these areas, there will be ongoing cleanup and restoration needed in the weeks and months ahead. In this time of slow recovery, the people of Ecuador not only have great physical needs, but also spiritual needs as they grapple with grave loss and the questions of “why”? In light of this tragedy, we want to offer you the chance to be a part of this restoration process and to become a part of shining God’s love to those who so desperately need it at this time. This June we are joining @go_international , a missions organization that is assembling a relief team to address both the physical and spiritual needs of the people on the ground. We want to not just share messages of love, but show love by helping to those who are in deep pain. While we don’t know what the exact needs on the ground will be 2 months down the road we do know that there will be need and we will be ready to serve and shine the light of Christ in this nation. We are looking for open hearts and able hands, people who are just willing to dive in and serve. It may mean distributing food & water, removing piles of rubble, helping construct new homes, or ministering to those who have experienced great loss. It's been the longest of days but I wouldn't change it for the world // We gave Quito the opportunity to share what they needed forgiveness for and or if there was someone they wanted to forgive - the result of this art campaign was epic! People seeking God's heart, aching to know more about His grace, asking for prayer, hungry for community, and wanting to be part of the kingdom // Today has definitely been one to remember. It's been so enriching doing life here with @submerge.tv and celebrating God's love for His people!

Exciting news!!!!!! FEBRUARY 2016, I will be embarking on a new journey. I will be residing in Quito Ecuador For 5 months as a member of Go international's Submerge Team. Every part of the Submerge experience is filled with purposeful and intentional learning, from community living, team collaboration, immersion in a foreign culture, and ministry and social outreaches. While there I will be working with a variety of organizations to help bring change to the lives of the people there. In addition to the social/volunteer work, I will also be taking a variety of classes including; Spanish, marketing, communication, project management and more. I feel like this program will help equip me for the future and give me practical tools I need to accomplish my dreams of serving others in a big way. I ask for your prayers, and support as I take a leap of faith, leaving my job and home to chase this dream. I will be fundraising to help pay for tuition and room and board. If you have it on your heart to make a donation you can do so at www.classy.org/KaitlynRiess Link in BIO- One time donations are greatly appreciated. You can also pledge to support monthly as I work towards my goal. I am so grateful for this season of my life, I will continue to be obedient while God prepares me for what's to come. 🙏✌❤ #gointernational #submerge #lovedoes #QuitoEcuador #radicallove #loveyoulovepeople #travel #serve #learn
