PROVING WHY HE’S AMONGST THE BEST 🔥 For the month of September David Raya has been nominated TWICE for the Premier League Save Of The Month award, something that has already happened this season in August when Tzolakis occupied 2 of 6 nominee spots 👀 David Raya has a strong claim in the race for this months prize with his first entry being a great save in against Chelsea’s Estevao, reaching high into his goal to turn the effort over 🧤 The second entry is a save from the penalty spot, which at face value is an unusual way to make this list HOWEVER… WHAT A SAVE it was 💥 At a crucial moment of the game David Raya turned Le Fee’s penalty away from the goal beyond reach of the all the attackers keeping his side in the game 🔥 With 4 other possible winners, do you think Raya will win the prize?👀🧤 #arsenal #davidraya #goalkeeper #keepers #premierleague

A MEETING BEST ASSOCIATED WITH EDWIN VAN DER SAR 🧤 This Super Sunday sees Fulham host Manchester United, a fixture that is definitely best linked with Edwin Van Der Sar from the GK POV 🧤 Let us tell you a little bit more ➡️ Edwin Van Der Sar’s Premier League career actually started back in 2001 at Craven Cottage but this is often overshadowed by the sheer success in his time at Old Trafford 🔴 EVDS spent 4 seasons in West London where he shone brightly making 154 appearances between 2001 and 2005 before he was taken on by the Red Devils and then the rest is history 👀🔥 As well as having played for both clubs he stamped his own on this fixture across his career ➡️ In 2003 Van Der Sar had a brilliant afternoon against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Despite Louis Saha stealing the headlines, this huge win for Fulham was made possible by the heroics of Fulham’s GK. EVDS stopped wave after wave of relentless attacks from United building the foundations for Fulham to go get a historic win at Old Trafford 🔥 Sir Alex spoke out later in life saying this was actually, the exact game that made him want to bring Van Der Sar to Manchester 👀 Not a bad day in the office eh?👏🏽➡️ Fast forward 6 years and the pair met for a league fixture in February 2009. This game was significant in Premier League goalkeeping as Van Der Sar reached 14 consecutive clean sheets, 1311 minutes without conceding which is a record that still stands TODAY 🤯 English football’s most untouchable defence with Edwin Van Der Sar at it’s heart 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

THE EUROPA LEAGUE IS BACK 🤩 And with it’s return comes some new faces 👀 Our story of tonight is Sunderland’s first game of European football in over 50 years which will be the stage for young talented goalkeeper Robin Roefs who makes his European football debut 👏🏽 Roefs was key to the success of newly promoted Sunderland last season who managed to finish 7th in the Premier League, confirming their enterance to the Europa League. He again will be crucial to their side in this European campaign as they look to have the same impact on the tournament as the English teams who have gone before them 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 After a decent start to the season between the sticks for the Black Cats, tonight could be another special night for the Dutch international 🤩 Good Luck Robin 🤜🏽🤛🏽 #sunderland #goalkeepers #safc #europaleague

UCL GAMEWEEK 1 IS COMPLETE 🧤🔥 There was some great games and TOP goalkeeping on display 👏🏽 •Thibaut Courtois is no stranger to a big Champions League night and did not hesitate to get into the swing of things this season finding himself in the UCL TOTW after a great performance against Inter 👏🏽 • David Raya gave it his all in last seasons competition all the way til the very end and he has certainly picked up where he left off, a clean sheet in his first game takes him up to 54% of his UCL games he has kept a clean sheet. This is the highest of any goalkeeper ever so far 🤯👏🏽 • Diogo Costa’s Porto side may have suffered defeat to Manchester City but Costa’s performance stood out from the crowd. An impressive 8 saves including a crazy double save saw him reach the most saves in the gameweek 👏🏽 A great start to the competition, which GK do you think played the best?👀 #goalkeepers #championsleague #ucl
