RESTART/ GROUND ZERO (18/10/2026)

“A restart brings new focus, new strength, and new vision. Don’t fear starting again—it may be the very thing that takes you further.” - Jennifer Livingston

1914- Number of Days between reoccurrence of my last & most recent epileptic seizure (5 years 2 months 26 days)
217- Number of Days I trained for @bergman_ozar_pune Olympic Distance Triathlon but couldn’t go
23- Number of days to change mindset from training for my triathlon which was my A race to running a half marathon at @delhihalfmarathon which was my B race
84 - Number of kms I ran as training prior to this race
12- Number of hours before I landed in Delhi for the race from a holiday
11- Number of years being endurance athlete
5- No of times I have now run at VDHM
2- No of athletes I coached who ran at VDHM
101 - No of minutes I took to complete the run

When suddenly something unexpected happens , for reasons unknown - you do get a reality check. You either start doubting everything or feel like doing nothing. You are at two extreme polarities.

For an endurance athlete like myself who has been strong mentally, always dedicated, disciplined and self-motivated when such a setback occurs - I was evaluating - what could have gone wrong, what could have triggered this, why did this happen now?

Coming into this race- there were a mix of several positives & negatives I was carrying with me - not only sport related but overall life related. For the first time ever, I didn’t have a WHY, I felt out of sync. I was taking things simply as they come- minute by minute.

Was just happy & grateful being with a bunch of friends who kept things light and fun. Sometimes, all you need is to let go of everything, just be present and cherish the moment.

I was grateful to have been able to be standing at the Start Line of the race and crossing the Finish Line gave me a certain amount of self confidence that I still got what it takes to compete and perform well when the time comes.

Health is my #1 priority moving forward- more self aware, more conscious and more in-tune with myself and listening to my body for the long run.

DELHI VEDANTA HALF MARATHON 2026

Always a pleasure to run on the Delhi route. It's like a Fast & Furious race course. Ran my best Half Marathon after my surgery. I ran this course before in 2023 and that was my PB. I had a plan for this race but no wonder I got my Season Best. Congratulations to all the finishers.
